I've made a second pattern for you to try. It's a wonderful apron. Two of my young students volunteered to model the apron for the photo but it is large enough for adults to wear...just with the straps tied in the back for most of us ;)

Every kitchen should have at least one apron in it. This one takes just a few hours from start to finish. Personalize it for the recipient using a fabric themed for their interests.

It is a brushed cotton that feels just like suede. You really have to come and touch it to appreciate how wonderful it is. The finished size of the quilt is 58" x 78" which makes a great sofa throw to snuggle under on chilly winter nights. It's super easy, perfect for beginners or any skill level.

I've shown the design in Christmas prints but I've made my sample with fabrics that are lighter and have an oriental flare to them. It finishes at 56" x 72" which is perfect for a throw quilt but add another border and you'll have a twin size or make a few more blocks to make a queen size.

I used warm autumn colors to piece the simple blocks and then used silk leaves from a purchased stem of silk flowers to dress up the runner.
